About Us
Global 1 Federal Credit Union was originally chartered as UE&C Employees Federal Credit Union in 1975. The credit union served the
employees of United Engineers & Constructors (UE&C). Subsequently UE&C was purchased by Raytheon and became know as RE&C.
Following the name change of our sponsor company UE&C Employees Federal Credit Union requested a name change to Global 1 Federal
Credit Union, since the credit union was servicing members around the "globe".
The credit union was originally located in Philadelphia, PA and eventually opened a branch in Princeton, NJ inside the sponsor companies
corporate office. When the sponsor company closed the Philadelphia, PA office the credit unions entire operations were shifted to the
Princeton, NJ office in 1998.
The credit Union remained at the Princeton, NJ office until January of 2014, at which time the credit union planned a merger with ESB
Employees Federal Credit Union. The 2 credit unions decided to relocate the Global 1 FCU office to their Pennsauken, NJ location. As of
March 1, 2014 Global 1 FCU and ESB Employees FCU completed a merger Becoming Global 1 FCU. After the merger the credit union has
one branch located at 7512 Maple Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
The credit union currently services the employees of AECOM ( Formerly URS Energy and Construction), Arway Linen and Uniform Rental,
Community Planning and Advocacy Council, MCA Travel, DCS Enterprises, LLC and members of the New Jersey Consumer Council.
If you are eligible and ready to join the credit union, simply fill out a membership application, review our fee schedule, and bring it to our
office. Pay a one-time $5.00 membership fee, plus make a minimum deposit of $5.00 to open a share account to complete your membership
enrollment. Once your membership is approved you will be eligible to take advantage of additional benefits of membership!
